Linda Gilligan, senior vice president and general auditor, oversees the Ninth District internal audit function that conducts reviews of Bank functions and projects to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Linda reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Minneapolis Board of Directors.
Linda joined the Minneapolis Fed in 1984 as a senior surveillance specialist in the Banking Supervision and Regulation division. In 1993, she was promoted to assistant vice president and transferred to the Cash Services department. Linda joined the Audit department at the beginning of 1998 as the assistant general auditor and was promoted to general auditor in 2000 and senior vice president in 2010. Linda is a member of the Conference of General Auditors Steering Committee.
Linda began her Federal Reserve career at the FRB of Kansas City, where she held positions in several areas including Banking Supervision and Regulation, Building Services, Financial Management, Treasury Services, and Business Development. She holds a bachelors degree in finance from Washburn University (Topeka, Kansas) and a M.B.A. in finance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
