During a business disruption, Federal Reserve staff will work to ensure the highest possible level of service for our customers. Successful operations will require preparation, coordination and cooperation between your institution and Federal Reserve staff. How will the Federal Reserve Contact Us During a Business Disruption?

Ninth District customers will be notified of a business disruption by FedLine or FedMail, depending on how your institution is set up to receive Check Services information.

How Can We Obtain Information on Shipping/Drop Points for Deposits During a Business Disruption?

In the event of a disruption, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and its Helena Branch may open an alternate delivery point for incoming check deposits. We will post the delivery location on this Web site and broadcast the location via FedLine. The Minneapolis office and its Helena Branch will also contact couriers directly and redirect work from the current location to the alternate delivery point. We intend to maintain present delivery methods for our presentments to you.

What Else Do We Need to Know About Local Federal Reserve Continuity Procedures?

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and its Helena Branch will restore check processing capability as fast as practical after a disruption. It is our intent to recover full capability including MICR delivery, Account Totals, Truncation and Imaging. Since the details of any disruption will be unique, we will keep you informed of our actions and work with you to meet your needs.
