Fabrizio Perri is an associate professor of economics at the University of Minnesota. He first became affiliated with the Bank as an associate analyst in the Research Department in 1997 and now serves there as a consultant. Prior to his current position, he was Berkley Professor of Economics and Business at New York University.
Fabrizio’s research focuses on business cycles, international economics, and inequality. His articles have appeared in such publications as Econometrica, the Review of Economic Studies, and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He is an associate editor at the Journal of Economic Theory, the Review of Economic Dynamics, and the Journal of the European Economic Association.
Fabrizio studied economics and social sciences at Universitá Bocconi, and received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his work for the Minneapolis Fed, Fabrizio has been a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Philadelphia and the International Monetary Fund, and has taught at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin, and Northwestern University. He is also an affiliate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
