Virgiliu Midrigan

Virgiliu Midrigan was a research economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 2006 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2012, and joined the Research Department as a consultant in 2012. His Ph.D. in economics is from Ohio State University, and he also holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in economics from Ohio State University and American University in Bulgaria, respectively. Major fields of interest include macroeconomics and international economics. Virgiliu is the recipient of various honors and awards, including fellowships from Ohio State University and a fellowship from the University of Chicago / Argonne National Laboratory.
