Tours of the Minneapolis Fed

Friday Public Tours (June – October)

Free guided tours are available for individuals, families, and small groups every Friday at 11:00 am and at 2:00 pm between June and October. (There are no 2:00 pm tours on July 1, September 2, and October 7.) Please note the following:

  • Tours are free of charge.
  • Tour content is intended for audiences aged 12 and older.
  • Tours start promptly at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • Tours are a 75-minute walking tour.
  • Registration of all participants is required at least 24 hours in advance (by 11:00 am the preceding Thursday). Same day walk-ins will not be admitted.
  • A valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) is required for all adults to enter the building.
  • Personal items will be subject to x-ray screening, and visitors will pass through a metal detector.

Group Tours

Free guided tours are available for groups by reservation. Please note the following:

  • Tours are free of charge.
  • Tours are available for groups of students grades seven and higher; teachers; businesses; professional associations; and community organizations.
  • Group size is a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 50. Student groups must include one adult chaperone for every 12 students.
  • Tours are available weekdays between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, excluding Bank holidays, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.
  • Tours are a 75-minute walking tour.
  • Tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the popularity of our tour program, we recommend making reservations at least one month in advance.
  • A list of tour participants must be submitted at least one week prior to the tour.
  • A valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) is required for all adults to enter the building.
  • Personal items will be subject to x-ray screening, and visitors will pass through a metal detector.
