Office of Minority and Women Inclusion

We have long valued diversity and inclusion at the Minneapolis Fed, and we are proud of our efforts in this critical area. Our Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) develops standards and procedures to make sure the Bank involves minorities, women, and minority- and women-owned businesses in all Bank activities. These include workforce diversity, supplier diversity, and assessment of diversity policies and practices of regulated entities.

Congressional Reports

OMWI was established in January 2011, in line with Section 342 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. We submit an annual report to Congress outlining our activities that foster diversity and inclusion.

Workforce Diversity

One of the OMWI’s mandates is to seek diversity in the workforce of the Bank in a manner consistent with applicable law.

Consistent with our commitment to transparency and openness, our Minneapolis Fed EEO-1 data are available. This information summarizes our workforce by gender and race/ethnicity across a set of defined job categories. It is submitted annually to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and is used for a variety of EEO enforcement, research, and self-assessment purposes.
