On July 9-10, 2018, the Center for Indian Country Development hosted a dynamic convening with systems leaders to discuss how to make homeownership a real opportunity in Native communities and to unveil the Tribal Leaders Handbook on Homeownership.
Day I – Land Data for Promoting Reservation Business and Homeownership Development
The Department of the Interior, the Tribal-Interior Budget Council, and Center for Indian Country Development brought over 130 attendees together to discuss the importance of accurate and complete land records, efficient business processes, and the role of land status in economic development:

Land data needed to support the leasing process on trust lands
Challenges to improving the quality of and access to accurate land data
Tribal innovations and solutions to land data issues
