The board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has appointed Nicole Anderson as assistant vice president in information technology, effective December 6, 2021. Anderson will report to Rishi Kapoor, vice president of information technology.

Anderson is responsible for solution design and delivery, which focuses on software development and data engineering. She has held technology leadership positions for more than 20 years and has led successful platform and process transformation initiatives at segment-leading companies, including Best Buy, NBC SportsEngine, and most recently at Wex Health.

“Nicole is dedicated to innovation and to helping diverse teams succeed,” said Kapoor. “Her experience in process change, transformation, and collaboration will help us achieve the Bank’s technology objectives.”

Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College, and she has been awarded eight patents for her innovative technology solutions.


The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System, the nation’s central bank. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is responsible for the Ninth Federal Reserve District, which includes Montana, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous banking organizations, and provides a variety of payments services to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
