Six leaders from Ninth District join Community Advisory Board

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis announced six community leaders from the Ninth District, who joined the Bank’s Community Advisory Board (CAB) in April.

Members of the CAB come from the nonprofit, philanthropic, civic, and government sectors.

In their advisory role, board members provide perspectives on community needs and challenges, and help connect the Bank’s research to its mission to pursue an economy that works for all of us.

“The members of CAB always share their wide-ranging experiences with the Minneapolis Fed team on behalf of their communities,” said President Neel Kashkari. “This insight is invaluable, and it’s an honor to work with these accomplished leaders.”

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System, the nation’s central bank. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is responsible for the Ninth Federal Reserve District, which includes Montana, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous banking organizations, and provides a variety of payments services to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
