Kara Kersteter has been appointed assistant vice president in the Research Division. In this role, Kersteter will oversee and support day‑to‑day operations and manage a broad portfolio of support and technology services.

Kersteter joins the Bank after a long tenure at the University of Minnesota, where she provided general research support in several departments. Most recently, she served as chief of staff in the department of economics, collaborating with its leadership to set strategic priorities, managing all aspects of operations, and ensuring compliance with university policy and regulations.

Kersteter holds a bachelor’s in medieval studies from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
