Kirsten Simon has been appointed vice president in Risk and Compliance at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. In this role, Simon will lead the team responsible for the Federal Reserve System’s data privacy program. She will also lead the Bank’s Records and Information Management team.

She brings extensive experience in risk, compliance, and audit from across the Federal Reserve System. Simon joined the Bank in 2007 and gained experience in the Bank’s enterprise risk and cash functions. She joined the Audit department in 2013, where she spent much of her tenure auditing and overseeing the audit coverage for the Bank’s technology portfolio. She became the Bank’s assistant general auditor in 2022.

Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota and has completed coursework for a master’s degree in leadership and management.
