Laura Vedder has been appointed assistant vice president in Treasury Services. In this role, Vedder is responsible for the division’s compliance and risk program, including vendor management and Treasury‑specific compliance efforts. She also oversees organizational change management, communications, and related leadership activities.

Vedder joined the Bank in 2024 as the director of procurement and vendor management in the Risk and Compliance Division. She previously served as the assistant director for contracts and procurement at the Metropolitan Council. Prior to that, Vedder gained experience with compliance and cross-sector collaboration while serving as general counsel to two federally recognized American Indian tribes, providing legal advice on federal, state, and tribal laws and policies and procedures. She also has experience as a prosecutor.

Vedder holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a JD from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
