Jean Swift is the chief financial officer of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. She is a former treasurer of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council and served on the council from 2013–2018. During that time, Swift chaired the tribe’s Finance Committee and Economic Development Committee and served as vice chair of the board for the tribe’s Endowment Trust.
A certified public accountant in the state of Connecticut, Swift chairs the board of directors of CorePlus Credit Union located in Norwich, Connecticut, and serves on the board of directors for the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. In 2020 she completed a three-year term on the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council. Swift has also served on the Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC) Subcommittee on Dual Taxation, which advises the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. In 2022 she was nominated and elected co-chair of the subcommittee.
Swift is a member of the business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma through the University of Connecticut, where she received her Bachelor of Science in business administration. She later earned an MBA from DeVry University.
