Pablo Ottonello is a principal research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and a professor at the University of Maryland. Previously, Pablo was an assistant and associate professor at the University of Michigan. He was also an IES Kenen fellow in Princeton University’s Economics Department and a visiting associate professor at Harvard Business School.

Pablo received his B.A. from Uruguay’s Universidad de la República and his Ph.D. from Columbia University. His research centers on monetary economics, finance, and international economics.

Pablo’s work has appeared in the Journal of Political Economy, the American Economic Review, and Econometrica, among other journals. He currently serves as a co-editor of the Journal of International Economics and an associate editor of the Journal of International Economics. Pablo is also a research associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research.
