The Federal Reserve of Minneapolis Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Kristina Bloomquist as an assistant vice president in the Research Division and the appointment of Konya Ives as an assistant vice president in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Division.

Kristina Bloomquist brings to the Bank extensive experience in academic research, management, leadership, and consulting gained in the health research field—including launching and serving as executive director of the Medica Research Institute. She most recently worked as a senior consultant and a senior director of innovation. In her new role, Bloomquist will have direct responsibility for the Research Division’s operations and management of the budget. Konya Ives joined the Bank in 2017 as a manager of the credit, payment systems risk, condition monitoring, and reserves functions. Prior to coming to the Federal Reserve System she gained experience working in private banks and as the director of women’s hockey operations at the University of Minnesota. In her new role, Ives will lead the operations for credit, payment systems risk, condition monitoring, reserves, and quality assurance functions and serve as the ethics officer for the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Division.

Ives holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and a master’s degree from the University of Iowa.

These appointments are effective November 6 and December 1, respectively.
