Cara KolbSenior Vice President, Risk and Compliance

Cara Kolb leads the procurement, compliance, business continuity, AS/5, and enterprise risk functions. Under Cara’s leadership, this group is responsible for ensuring that Bank staff effectively manage risks while rigorously complying with procedures and policies.

Cara also oversees functions related to data privacy and records management.

She joined the Federal Reserve System in 2004, holding several leadership roles in Treasury Services and information technology at the System level before becoming senior vice president of information technology and the Bank’s chief information officer in 2024.

Cara has a B.A. in history and sociology from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. in management from Hamline University.
