We are pleased to announce the Macroeconomic Policy Perspectives conference series, a new initiative of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, the University of Chicago, and Stanford University. These events will bring together researchers in various fields of economics to address important policy issues.




The first conference, Banking, Regulation, and Macroeconomic Outcomes, will be hosted in person and livestreamed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis on October 17–18, 2024.

This event will advance our understanding of the sources and macroeconomic consequences of banking fragility and will help address the challenges of financial regulation. The conference will include a policy panel with leading experts and policymakers as well as the presentation of six academic papers.

Papers presented at the conference will undergo a standard peer review process and, if accepted, will be included in a special volume of Journal of Political Economy Macroeconomics.
