This Mergers and Acquisitions Bulletin identifies final applications received by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis for formation of bank holding companies, for bank acquisitions by bank holding companies, for mergers of bank holding companies, for mergers of banks when the resulting institution is a state member bank, for state member banks to establish branches, for member bank applications, and for relocation of offices of member banks. Notice of all of these applications is published in a newspaper of general circulation in the communities where the head office is located. This Mergers and Acquisitions Bulletin also identifies applications by bank holding companies to acquire nonbank going concerns and to engage in activities that have not been previously determined by the Board to be closely related to banking. In addition, notice of most bank holding company applications is published in the Federal Register. This Mergers and Acquisitions Bulletin is published weekly as a courtesy of the Federal Reserve and does not constitute notice of these applications.

Members of the public may comment on an application; however, comments must be received by the Federal Reserve on or before the last day of the comment period. The comment period ends no earlier than the date specified in the newspaper notice, and in the case of bank holding company applications for which a Federal Register notice is published, may end later than that date. If you have any questions concerning procedures that should be followed in commenting on an application, you may contact Linda Anderson, Mergers & Acquisitions Manager, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, 90 Hennepin Avenue, P. O. Box 291, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55480-0291, (612) 204-6404.

If you cannot submit your comments by the end of the time period, you may request an extension of time by contacting the Secretary of the Federal Reserve Board, Washington, DC 20551. Your request for an extension of time must be made no later than the last date of the comment period and should explain why you are unable to submit your comments on time.
