Graduate Program

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis invites economics Ph.D. students at the University of Minnesota to participate in its Research Analyst Graduate Program. Each student assists one of the Bank’s economists and gains hands-on experience conducting economic research. The program emphasizes the practical applications of academic research and offers a unique opportunity to learn firsthand the considerations that go into crafting monetary policy.

For decades, the Research Analyst Graduate Program has provided mentorship opportunities to a diverse range of graduate students. Participants in the program receive valuable guidance on their academic work and entry into the job market. They form lasting connections with the Bank that support them throughout their careers.
