César Sosa-Padilla is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Previously, he was an assistant professor at McMaster University and a Peter B. Kenen Fellow at Princeton University. César received a Licenciatura en Economía from the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (Argentina) and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland. His research concerns international finance, macroeconomics, and fiscal policy, and he is particularly interested in sovereign default crises. César’s work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Monetary Economics, and Economic Inquiry. He currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of International Economics and Oxford Open Economics.
